This doesn’t explain a Goodyear welt at all. I still have essentially no idea what it is (other than a piece of leather that connects two parts of a shoe), how it’s created, and/or how it differs from other welts.

Great video and huge difference.. My question is how do i get rid of the white polish/wax this is stuck in the bogues / holes? ( i used "Kiwi protect-shine Neutral" ) I made a misstake and i left wax on over night before polishing it, so it is now really stuck like glue in the brogues and on the stitching :( Tried with toothpick, nails.. No luck. Can you maybe give an advice or do you know how i can get rid of all this white dried wax that is stuck?

This video sucks. I still have no idea how the welt is attached to the upper & the sole. But I do know all this random stuff about layers which is totally irrelevant. Just because you can do doesn’t meant you can explain. Someone else should have done this video.

I love Oliver Sweeney shoes -- definitely worth the extra cost. It's challenging to keep them in perfect condition though, so this video is very useful (and shoe trees are essential)

This film is more of an advert than a explanation (so annoying), the camera work close ups never gave correct distance perspectives in relation to the whole shoe or gave a brief explanation to how each layer was stitched/glued etc to what piece in what order + his hand would obscure the cut away shoe section when he attempted to explain & point with the finger we could not hardly see + the slow moving stills sections were too short before being cut to another edit too soon. So my question(s) ;- Are modern film makers more interested with either showing off there newly learnt computer editing techniques or adding quick fire content at the expense of quality or presentation? or are younger peoples shorter attention spans having an effect due to the computer age or online gaming/mobile phones and there Zombie operators?
